This was my second year at xpday and I can honestly say it excellent. This year’s programme really suited my personal agenda of lean software development, kanban and test driven development (TDD). Also the programme’s open space structure changed, but in a good way for me. The open space sessions occupied most of the second day this which I personally thought was good, as last year the open sessions where spread over both days. This ultra portable pc is a winner. Its compacted, light, long battery life, multimedia ready and best of all comes pre-installed with xandros linux.
I have just installed ubuntu linux on the eeepc and I can honestly say I am amazed. Apart from a small amount of fiddling around to get wifi working everything else worked straight out of box. I have managed to get just over 4 hours of battery life out of the eeepc at the moment, which I think is fantastic. Unfortunately I’ll be selling this on ebay next month so I can purchase the newer model, being the eeepc 900
